Gospel Gathering

The second annual Gospel Gathering -- Fall Festival is slated for October 11, 2008. It looks to be even bigger than last year. We have as one of our groups the 2008 Gospel Quartet convention "Group of the Year". Restoration will be delighting the crown for a set in the morning at 11:30 and another set in the afternoon at 1:30. The Mineral Spirits from Mineral Baptist Church will be performing at 3:00 in the afternoon. Their flair and style is always a crown pleaser. Mineral Spirits perfoms a combination of traditional hymns along with a great selection of more contemporary Southern Gospel.

Other groups committed to perform are T E Anderson Choir, This is a very vibrant and stage active Gospel group from Phillipi Baptist Church in Louisa County. The T E Anderson Choir rounds out the performance with live background music and great harmonies.

The bluegrass section is being filled at 2:00 Pm with Earl Talley and Friends. This is a down home honest Gospel group that has always been a fun show every where. They perform at several church functions through out the year. This band has its roots right here in Louisa County dating back to the the early 1960's.

This is an outreach program that is designed to be fun for all. A special youth section will entertain the youngsters while the adults are enjoying the fellowship and music. The concession area will be open with hot dogs, popcorn and drinks. Golf cars will again be available to help you get from the parking area to the other areas of the event.

The entire day is free. A donation jar will be set up to help us defray any cost if you wish. Please mark this whole day to spend with Memorial Baptist Church and our community friends.
